TIE RED SCARF
- Folding direction of scarf bottom side so that height of the scarf is about 15cm left, putting scarf on the collar, pulling the collar up, adjusting scarf tail between shirt back, putting left scarf band on the right scarf band.
- Taking left scarf end inside, taking it up and pulling it out.
- Taking left scarf end from left to right and continuing to tie into button (From right to left) with right scarf band.
- Tie scarf knot, adjusting two scarf bands over and under spreading scarf knot, amending scarf knot squarely, bending collar down.
* Third skill:
SALUTATION IN MODEL OF YOUNG PIONEER TEAM MEMBER
- Team member stands at attention, eyes orientate to salutation side, saluting by right hand, fingers close tightly, it is raised on the top head, is about 5cm from right front lobe, hand elbow orientates ahead, it combines with body to from an angle of about 130o.
- Raising hand on the head, it shows that team member always puts benefits of nation and team first, five fingers close tightly, it represents solidarity sense of team member to build the team strongly.
- Raising hand to salute and putting down hand according to the shortest distance, it does not cause noise.
- The team member salutes when taking part in the flag-saluting ceremony, reporting to the superior, making anniversary ceremony... Only saluting when wearing red scarf or wearing Team badge.
* Fourth skill:
HOLDING THE FLAG, SPREADING THE FLAG, PULLING THE FLAG AND CARRYING THE FLAG
* Holding flag: Right hand holds flag handle at the position of waist, the flag handle tip is put on the ground, it is close to the little toe of the right foot.
- Holding flag in standing-at-attention posture: When having order “Attention!”, pulling the flag handle close to the body, the body is in standing-at-attention posture.
- Holding flag in free posture: When hearing order “Free!”, the left leg shrinks and the flag is fallen ahead, it forms angle of 45o with body.
- Spreading flag: It is executed when saluting flag, team-reviewing ceremony, marching ceremony and delegate-welcoming ceremony.
+ From standing-at-attention posture of holding flag to flag-spreading posture: Right hand holds flag to spread up before the face, arm is straight and is square to the body, the flag handle is put vertically. The left hand holds the flag handle, it is about 20cm – 30cm under right hand, the right hand moves down, holds right at flag handle tip, horizontally pulling it close to rib, returning in flag-spreading posture.
+ From flag-carrying posture to flag-spreading posture: Right hand pulls the flag handle tip close to the body, the left hand pushes the flag handle ahead in flag-spreading posture.
* Carrying flag: It is used when marching, when taking flag in to make flag-saluting ceremony, team-reviewing ceremony, delegate-welcoming ceremony...
Action of flag-carrying posture: From standing-at-attention posture of holding flag, the right hand holds flag to spread up before face, the arm is straight and square to the body. The left hand holds flag handle 20cm–30cm under right hand, the right hand moves down close to the flag handle tip, it is taken ahead, it is oblique to ground in angle of about 45o, the left hand pulls flag handle to put on the right shoulder, it returns in flag-carrying posture.

- Team slogan :“For socialist nation of – For ideal of Great Uncle Ho ! Ready!”, whole team replies :“Ready !”. Not raising hand when crying out.

MOBILE AND ON-THE-SPOT PERSONAL ACTIONS
- Free standing: The body is in the standing posture, when having order “Free!”, two arms are put comfortably straightly, the left leg shrinks a little, centre of gravity is put into the right leg, it is possible to change the leg when getting tired.
- Standing-at-attention: The body is in the standing posture, when having order “Attention!”, the body stands vertically, eyes see straightly, the two straight arms are close to the body, the hand makes into fist naturally, two legs are straight, close to each other, two feet form word “V” (Angle of 60o).
- Turn left: When having order “Left – Turn!”, after order “Turn!”, The body stands at attention, using the left heel as a pole, the right leg head as a supporting point, turning left the body at the angle of 90o, then taking the right leg up, returning in standing-at-attention posture.
- Turn right: When having order “Right – Turn!”, after order “Turn!”, The body stands at attention, using the right heel as a pole, the left leg head as a supporting point, turning right the body at the angle of 90o, then taking the left leg up, returning in standing-at-attention posture.
- Turn back: When having order “Back – Turn!”, after order “Turn !”, using the right heel as a pole, the left leg head as a supporting point, turning right the body at the angle of 180o, then returning in standing-at-attention posture.
- Stamp foot on the spot: When having order “Stamp foot – Stamp!”, after order “Stamp!”, beginning by the left leg, stamping according to rhythm of crying-out, horn or drum but it does not leave location. When putting the left leg on the ground, the foot head is put ahead and then the heel. The right arm takes ahead, the hand is equal to the waist, the left hand takes straight towards back. When having order “Stop – Stop !” (Order “Stop!” is put in the right leg), the team member stamps foot one rhythm more, taking the right leg towards standing-at-attention posture.
- Running on the spot: When having order “Run on the spot – Run!”, after order “Run!”, beginning by the left leg, regularly running according to rhythm of horn or crying-out words, but position does not move, two arms shrink naturally, palm is orientated into the body, the hand make into a fist, lightly shaking arms in comfortable posture and in the running direction. When having order “Stop – Stop !” (Order “Stop!” is put in the right leg), the team member stamps his foot three times more. Stamping right foot in standing-at-attention posture.
- Advance: When having order :“Advance... step – Step!”, after order “Step!”, the body stands vertically, eyes see straightly, beginning with the left leg to step continuously ahead according to number of steps cried out by the commander, distance of step is equal to a foot, when finishing step, returning in standing-at-attention posture.
- Back: When having order :“Back... step – Step!”, after order “Step!”, the body stands vertically, eyes see straightly, beginning with the left leg to step continuously back according to number of steps cried out by the commander, distance of step is equal to a foot, when finishing step, returning in standing-at-attention posture.
- Step across to the left: When having order :“Across to the left... step – Step!”, after order “Step!”, the body stands vertically, eyes see straightly, the left leg steps across to the left, (The right leg steps according to style of the measuring worm), doing so until finishing number of steps cried out by the commander. Each step is as wide as size of the shoulder, finishing step, returning in standing-at-attention posture.
- Step across to the right: When having order :“Across to the right... step – Step!”, after order “Step!”, the body stands vertically, eyes see straightly, the right leg steps across to the right, (The left leg steps according to style of the measuring worm), doing so until finishing number of steps cried out by the commander. Each step is as wide as size of the shoulder, finishing step, returning in standing-at-attention posture.
- Regularly step: When having order “Stepping regularly – Step!”, after order “Step!”, beginning to step with the left leg according to rhythm of horn, drum or crying-out words, the right arm takes ahead from waist, the left arm takes back along the body, the hand makes into fist naturally, stepping regularly, the body is vertical, eyes see straightly. When having order “Stop – Stop!”, order “Stop!” is put in the right leg, the left leg steps a step more, then taking the right leg up, returning in standing-at-attention posture.
Regularly stepping is basically different from stamping foot on the spot in the moving step, the knee does not lift highly, stepping normally, the heel is down first and following the foot head down, not kicking the leg ahead or kicking the leg back.
- Regularly run: When having order “Regularly run – Run!”, after order “Run!”, beginning to run with the left leg according to rhythm of horn or crying-out words, the knee does not lift highly, not kicking foot, two arms shrink naturally, palm is orientated into the body, the hand makes into a fist, lightly shaking in comfortable posture and in the running direction, the body is ahead rather oblique. When having order “Stop – Stop!”, order “Stop!” is put in the right leg, the team member runs three steps more and then taking the right leg in standing-at-attention posture.
